Call Me Annimal!

As a rabid MC5 fan I am hard pressed to state whether I love them most for their original aura, insanely rockin music or thought provoking lyrics. Since I can’t decide I which attribute is best it’s gonna have to be a three way tie! And I’m very fortunate to be named Ann as they recorded two songs with my name in the title, Sister Ann and Call Me An(n)imal! Today’s tribute annsemble is dedicated to the MC5, but basically every rock-god-goddess-super-hero image I endeavor to embody has some motor city flavor sprinkled on top!

Studded jacket (without matching pants), $25 ebay several years ago

  4. ofelia and loo!! Last night we saw a band called The Soundtrack of Our Lives who were heavily influenced by the Detroit legends, and the last song they played was Sick of You by the Stooges! We will keep the rock n roll fire stoked, may it never burn out!

  5. Oh my gosh, I am freaking out right now because my best friend had a jacket just like that in high school. It was vintage even back then, she had stolen it from her mom who also had the matching PANTS. Yes, I said matching pants. SO RAD. Anyway, you look fabulous & of course I love the boots. :)

  6. nickie!! I collect these outfits, I have the matching pants too, as well as a white with gold studs outfit, black with silver studs outfit with 2 pairs of pants as I was given an extra pair of the pants by a friend when he saw me wearing the jacket!! The pants flatten out my butt so I don't wear them much, maybe I can try to style them better! I thrifted one studded outfit in the late 90s, the others I found on ebay and I never paid more than $40 for the sets as I was usually the only bidder. I have seen them listed for over $100, tho!! Thanks for stoppin by!!

  14. Fab outfit! I do think a bit of rockstar glam is very important, as is a name that will work if you want to be in a band - I was very careful when I named my boys that they could be office worker or drummer! Your hair looks rather amazing too x
